I'm used to use 'Desktop Manager' as a screen pager for Mac OS X. I've recently switched to Virtue, which has several pros and cons (As far as I have explored for the moment) :
Pros :
- Virtue is in active developpement (last updated dec 2004) whereas Desktop Manager hasn't been updated since july 2004
- When you switch (command-tab) to an application, you also switch the pager (opt)
- You can have a shortcut to switch to the 'north' or 'south' pager
- Works ok with dual screen
- Works well with Exposé
Cons:
- No easy way to move windows between pagers just using the keyboard (I currently minimize the window, switch, then maximize, but you can also use 'windows operations' or inspectors
- No option to permanently display a pager in the corner (or in the menu bar)
You get a new 'Virtual Desktops' in your home directory but I've no idea of its use ;(
You can get Virtue on sourceforge
