Apple Store in Paris: champs elysees !

I've insider news about the location of the apple store supposed to open in Paris soon (End of 2006, or more probably 2007). Looks like it will be located on “Champs Elysées”. Anyone with a good idea of a spot for it ?

iWeb

I finally had the time to have a look to the Mac World San Francisco 2006 keynote,
where iWeb was introduced in the same time than several exciting new app and products ;)

Well, it looked slow, didn't it ? even with a 2-3x faster iMac and a only 4 pages (so called) blog it took a while to compose the “iWeb site” and publish it.

Oh by the way, was Steve a bit sick ? he didn't stopped coughing during the whole presentation.

I don't like that Google Earth is not working on my macbook (erm. powerbook)

I don't know how to contact Google, anyway. I think this is related to the fact that I formated my partition with case sentitive filenames (case insensitive is the default -- Apple, wake up this default sucks).

I don't like podcasts

Well, I'm sure I'll appreciate them more, If I were able to keep up with the pace. Take loic's podcasts for instance. How could I listen that much each day? I could use my iPod to listen to them in the metro. but I don't synchronize my iPod each day (every 2 or 3 days perhaps).

Will apple release today a wireless synchronisation for iPods ? We don't expect updated iPods before a while though... in a couple of months perhaps.

Well, I'll follow MacWorld closely : I'm a few blocks away from Moscone !

Anyway, my input bandwidth is tremendously bigger with text than it is with video and audio posts...

Perhaps we'll start to increase the playback speed of this files like blind people are used to do it with text2speech devices.

Vienna aggregator

Antoine is currently testing Vienna aggregator. It looks quite nice, in some way similar to Shrook that I've bought some months ago.

I'm happy with Shrook, however there are things I dislike (mainly feature opacity (closed source), memory consumption, high CPU usage)... so GPL'd (?) challengers are welcome! (any good one in Perl ? ;)

But for now memory consumption of Vienna seems to be even higher than shrook (higher than Firefox 1.5 even)

Voilà j'y suis passé hier pour me fournir une protection pour mon nano. C'est iPod-Life, et c'est entièrement dédié à votre iPod chéri.

Si vous devez vous fournir en accessoires ou en iPod je vous recommande donc d'aller prendre conseil dans ce magasin où j'ai été très bien accueilli (13, rue de la Boëtie, Paris 8ème)

Bored with the french apple keyboard.

I'm looking for a replacement or a fix (vim) because I'm so tired of typing :

• alt + 5 and alt + ° for outputting { and }
• shift + alt + 5 and shift + alt + ° for outputting [ and ]

When you develop in Perl you constantly use this characters...
